Adjusting the idle won't bother the FI, but I'll bet that if you clean the throttle body you will be turning the idle back down again.
Its probably due for a good scrubbing.

Adjusted the idle up a bit and was out for a ride today, about 180 miles in 90 degree weather and did not have any hiccups. That did the trick. I found the idle adjustment knob very tight to turn. Is the knob normally that hard to turn?

Took a ride to the Italian Market in Philly today with a buddy on mine. Had a cheese steak at Genos. Provolone, without.

My idle adjustment knob was a little difficult to turn also.

Didn't ride today, even though I really wanted to. Will probably ride tomorrow. Still working on repairs from the tornado damage from back in late April.

Did the 300 mile commute for the week and then went out for 154 easy miles today. It was only 94°F! Riding 2-up and under 65 mph I got 47 mpg.

That 3 in 1 oil is real good for lubing the idle cable. Give it a shot.

I spent the day riding in the rain. I took day 1 of the practical/parking lot training on the bike. I wanted to upgrade my skill level and find out what I didn't know. Proper U turn, right, left turn method. And a lot of safety. Some of the stuff you see Jerry Paladino "Ride Like A Pro" doing in his videos. Tomorrow we do some higher speed turning, stopping, etc.. It should be fun and informative. I figured it couldn't hurt. I'll let you know how it went, tomorrow.

I'll have to check my GPS, but moving time was around 15-16 hours, total time was 19:55. We took a 1:30 lunch break and one of the guys we rode with likes to dawdle at gas stops and another had a smallish tank with only 170 mile range, which meant more frequent stops. We also did some nice mountain roads with Yellow Jacket and Dkdixie up near Blairsville.

I planned to go on a ride today, but slept in and didn't get the early start I was hoping for so I cut it a bit short to get home before it got too hot. I rode down to Eloy AZ and back, about 90 miles r/t. High is predicted to be 112° today. It was already 100° in Casa Grande at 10:30.

Wasn't going to ride today - too hot and too much work to do. But decided to take a short hop for breakfast and 150 miles later I had taken quite a nice "hot" ride down to the lack and along the lakeshore. Now to the work :(

Ive been trying to get out and do some fishing, buts its too hot to hook up the boat to the truck. Its about 95 right now, I'll give it another hour and see if it starts to drop.
