Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?

WOW, where do I start? Our weekend began Saturday morning with a Charity ride I organize. I started this 3yrs ago & we have been steadily growing. We had 14 bikes, with 34 people present. On the ride we had 13 bikes with 20 riders. We rode 220 miles round trip. Through Sourhern Indiana or destination for dinner was www.joehubers.com A family farm restaurant & winery. What a great time.
Sunday was the expierince of a lifetime. A biker friend of ours that with us on Saturday gave us free passes to ride in the 18th Bob & Tom Miracle Ride for Riley's Children Hospital. What a great event. The media said there were over 7,500 motocycles, we just happen to be number 50 behind the leader, which was the Governor of IN, an avid rider. It was awesome, the route was 75 miles long which took us through Indy, one lap around the famous Indianpolis Motor Speedway. The speed was up to 80mph five bikes wide around the turns how exhilarating. We rode past the childrens hospital with about 20 kids sitting outside waving, talking about getting goosebumps. We then made our way to the a casino where lunch was served for all to enjoy. The train of bikes was a sight to see, we parked our bike at noon & at 1:30 bikes were still making there way into the parking lot. That will be an event I will never forget.
Trip, maybe, just maybe our membership will get this large. ;)

Rode to the school and back, round trip of 20 miles.

Got the Nomad out for the first time since my trip out west and back in the Suv . HOT must have been 95 got about 65 mile in rode up Hwy 129 to the start of the Dragon along lake and back stopped at Tallahasse and got some real gas no Eyth. come on back to house and shirt was soaked. I sure hope the Rally has some cooler weather.

Almost rode to work but thought we might have a shower. Did get a 5 mile ride in after work though.

Short ride to and from work and out for lunch about 10 miles.

Lots of local riding the last few days, under 100 miles mostly. The weather is finally giving us a break every couple of days. It feels good to be out, need to practice in a parking lot, then I should be good for the summer.

You're right loafer - it seems we get one nice day then two crappy ones. The last raining day had some major thunder storms. Not far from here two houses were hit and one burned to the ground...

I wonder how safe you would be on a bike if you were in a Lighting storm???

Did the commute to work again today, 18 mile round trip. Then went to the store and added about a mile and a half.

Got the Nomad out and did about 81 miles today over the Foothills Parkway and to Townsend --- Hooters and Back home

Work and back yesterday and today. Today the ride home was in the rain for most of it, but not hard rain. Luckily I wore my Firstgear overpants instead of chaps.

Got a phone call from the principal and had to ride out to school for a super secret meeting. Got in about 22 miles.

Rode to work and then on to the Chamber of Commerce for a networking event. About 30 miles... Humid as all get out 104F with the humidity

Did the round trip to work for 18 miles and then rode 18 more miles running errands. It was very hot but still enjoyable.

I obviously didn't ride a bike, but I went in to work today to visit everyone today, I borrowed my friends 79 Trans Am and had a blast driving it down there.

My buddy had a 75 black Trans Am with t-tops that I got to drive for about a month. It was a blast but it sure liked to stop at all the gas stations
