I can only ride 1 day over the weekend. If it's Saturday or Sunday it doesn't make a difference. I need to know in advance. I can't do a rain day. If you want to make it Sunday then do Sunday but set a firm day for the ride.

If we end up switching to Sunday I will have to bow out. I don't know how my body will react to a full day in the saddle and may need a day to recover. I am going back to work on Monday and don't want to f*ck that up.

I just checked AccuWeather and Itellicast. AccuWeather is saying no rain just cloudy. Intellicast is saying rain early morning like 6:30 AM. The ride will have to stay on Saturday. If it looks like rain for you Evan we can make the meet up a little later.

I have things going on in my hometown of Litchfield on Saturday so I will bow out - Definitely riding on Sunday though . . . Having grown up in NW CT and went to college in VT, I love getting back up and exploring both areas to find those places I had forgotten about . . .

Is the Dots you guys are going to the place featured at 13:00 - 13:20 in this video? If so it won best food of our fall ride last year. Great place - Not sure if that is Dot in the video holding our buddy, but if you see her, tell her the guys that came in with the doll after the Loudon Race last year say hi!

Looks like I won't be making this ride. My Vance & Hines Slip-ons got delivered and I decided to install them. The exhaust clamp bolt snapped in clamp. Have to order a new clamp or fight with this one. Right now I don't have the bike to ride.

That sucks Neil, those V/H's are going to sound great. You could try heating the clamp up with a torch and using an easy out. Thought you were more the electrical guy than wench guy.

Right now it's still showing a chance of rain in the morning with rain around noon and then a chance in the afternoon. I'll still keep an eye on the weather. Martin if it changes you still want to do the ride or give yourself another week to heal and go out next week. Leaves will still be there just not as many.

Let's wait and see how the weather plays out. I certainly don't want to ride in the rain. I most likely won't be able to make next weekend due to work commitments so this weekend is probably it in terms of foliage.

I did heat the clamps up and get the broken bolts out. I still need gaskets that I just ordered so I can't put it back together until they get delivered.

I have worked on bikes in the past including rebuilding engines. I just like the easy stuff now and would prefer to pay a shop to get their hands dirty.

If it doesn't happen this week we can set a time to just meet at bubs for lunch before it's time to put the bike away. I think last year I rode to thanksgiving.

Hope you get it all back together before you put it away Neil. Would of been nice to hear how it sounded.

I ordered the parts from bike bandit.com.

I just noticed there is a nick in the chrome on the piece that crosses under the bike on the new pipes. I haven't pulled them out of the box yet. If that's the only blemish I'll keep them. Otherwise I'll have to send them back for replacements.

Even a small nick could cause rust over time if it's though the chrome plating. You look forward to it coming like a kid getting a new toy and its damaged.. It's WTF damn it's broken. Manufactures should have better quality control. Maybe they think a buyer won't notice it.

I am sorry guys but unfortunately this ride is not going to happen for me. I am still in quite a bit of discomfort so there is no way I can do a full day in the saddle. Maybe I am being impatient but I thought I would be a lot further along in my recovery by now.
