Just took the bike for a 40 mile ride.
BD you are the man! I like the sound. I am going to call it a deep mellow sound. I don't think it is any louder, even at speed , just deeper.
I think it runs better and has more power ;) ( OK that part may be just my imagination :-[ )
I do like the sound and Trip I don't think you will regret removing them if you give it a try.

It went way faster than I thought it would. I spent more time at Home Depot trying to find a stupid hole saw than I did actually performing the bafflectomy.

You must have had a very powerful drill! Mine saw was hooked to a wooden dowel and I had to rub my hands together back and forth on that dowel like I was building a fire??

I just used a 3 amp plug in drill but about 1 minute before I finished the 2nd pipe it started smoking really bad. I didn't care because I have a REALLY nice cordless drill I normally use. The plug in is more of a back up plus it still works so what the heck. WD40 on the cutting edge full throttle on the drill - hard pressure until the motor stops then back off a little and do it again. I know putting that kind of load on an electric motor is bad but I was in a hurry. The amps must have been through the roof because the lights in my garge kept dimming!

Whatever works! Glad it worked out for you. Have you taken it on a good highway cruise like 75 to hear how it soulds as speed?

Same here $12.99.
I have a 7 amp drill. Took about 4 min. per side. I went slow as not to burn up the electric motor , not mentioning any names Wolfman. ooopps I guess I did mention a name :)

I took 20 minutes per side because the directions on the blade said 195 rpms for hard steel. You must have the DRILL FROM HELL!!!!
