Framer, I'm thinking about doing that ride this year. I hear it's a lot of fun, until the heat gets to you anyway. Are there any other bicycle rides you do? I've done a few over the last few years. I mainly do the Tulsa Tough tour rides and the Bike MS fundraiser.

Most the ones that I do are around OKC but not all. Meers, tour de trike, miles for smiles, spin your wheels to name a few.

Waving

Made it back just fine with a little time to spare. We were able to meet our obligation, and all is well. The ride back started out a little wet, but as soon as we left Fredericksburg things started to warm up and dry out. By the time we got home it was sunny and down right hot. I hope the weather cooperated for you guys as well.
Thanks to every one for a great time. Kelli and I are grateful to be able to meet and ride with such a fine group of folks. Thank you for placing your trust in me and allowing me to lead out. Hope you found it everything you expected it to be. David, thanks for visiting us, I know you had to come a little far, but hope you thought it was worth it. Now you know, so anytime you want to get back to the Hill country, let us know. We're always ready to go. Bill, it was a hoot, and I'm very happy that Cheryl and Kelli got to meet. Kelli says hi and she also had a wonderful time. Scott, it was great to spend a little more time with you and Jude. Now that you and she got your feet wet on the sisters, we need to go check out all of the other rides the Hill country has to offer.
Any how, Here's to a safe and uneventful ride home for everyone. Look forward to more exciting rides and fine fellowship. Shiney side up!

Paul, Glad you and Kelli had a good time and made it home safely. It is Easter Morning and I am typing this from the Kerrville motel. We are all doing breakfast and then packing up to head home. Thankful for the safe trip and good time we had as well.

Here is what you missed yesterday. We started about 11am due to wet streets. We rode to Fredericksburg and did a little shopping. Then on to Comfort and then Medina. From there we rode to Leaky and up 336 to 41, then down to 39 and back to Kerrville. Beautiful weather and I spent the afternoon riding in a t-shirt. Lots of stops and we barely made it back before dark. Everyone can now brag they did the Sisters.

336 is under construction and they are installing wider shoulders. One bike, not in our group, hit some loose gravel and flipped a few times. The rider was airlifted to the hospital but expected to be OK.

It is noteworthy to report to those who know the area, that the D'Rose Inn has changed its name to the Leaky Inn and the motorcycle sign is gone. Looks like that part of history is a closed chapter.

Thanks to all who came and allowed us to enjoy the Sisters and fellowship. Thanks to Scott Carriker for putting this ride together.

I left on Saturday too Paul. I was worried about getting caught in a thunderstorm coming home Sunday. Like you said once I got to Fredericksburg the weather improved. The ride home couldn't have been better except when I got to Lawton OK I had to out run a thunderstorm.
Riding the sisters was a lot of fun but it was second to the people I met. Scott thanks for all you did and letting this Okie tag along and Jude you road like a pro. Paul and Kelli thanks for your leadership I was lost the hole time we were riding (I need a GPS). What can you say about Bill and Cheryl. They two of the nicest people I've ever met and Bill you do have a beautiful body. Then there was Daryl and his wife on there Harly. I think he was intimidated by all the Kawasakis there LOL.
I hope that we can do this again. If any of you are ever on the OKC area give me a shout. If I don't see you sooner I hope to see everybody at Antlers. Be safe and have a good ride home.

I don't remember who wrote the thread about wearing bicycle shorts for long trips but man it works. 1000 miles round trip and 250 miles riding the sisters and I'm ready to get back in the saddle today.

Writing from home. Made it here at 3:45pm. Rode in sunshine the whole way. Severe weather moved in about an hour after we arrived home. We had a wonderful time. Jude rode the twisted sisters thanks to Paul's leadership. Jude is so proud of the shirt you and Kelli bought her to commemorate the achievement. Last night when we pulled into the hotel she had a huge smile on her face. Thanks to all for making it another successful ride and a wonderful time of fellowship. Bill was a reluctant leader on Saturday but he was willing to serve us that ...and yes David he does have a great form. Much like the Increadible Hulk. I think I heard Darrell and Jana talking about trading their Harley for a Nomad. It was good of him to be willing to ride with us even though we weren't riding Harley's. He's gracious like that. Seriously, they had a great time and enjoyed meeting such a fun group. See you guys at the next one.

Glad everyone made it back OK from the HC. I have tried in the past to ride the twisted sisters on a three-day trip. From where I live, it just can't be done and give the HC justice. I'm also glad you guys didn't run into much rain. A good three-day trip for me is to run up to Queen Willy and ride the Scenic Byway in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Last time I talked with Deb, she was complaining about all the work she was having to do by herself. She had been doing it for over 10 years and she realized that it just goes along with the turf. She has sold the D'Rose Inn to another couple. Doesn't surprise me. The new owners are supposed to keep the Inn running the same way... Motorcycles only, but with the drought causing many of the local Inns to close up... we'll see.

Spring flowers will probably be scarce this year all due to the drought in Central Texas. So, don't expect too much this year.

I'm not getting my hopes up but a couple of weeks ago, I found where the hospital in Kerrville was looking for a Webmaster/Database Admin. I applied at Peterson Hospital online. If I were to live and work in Kerrville, 337 would be minutes away instead of hours. Be still my beating heart.
