Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far? - Page 55

Put me a new tire on the bike and took it out for a break-in ride, so after the CMA
bike blessing down in Chattanooga, I headed up to the Dragon! Oh and by the way
for those who are planning to ride the Dragon during the National Rally be ready to
be harrassed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol! If your riding a motorcycle YOU WILL
BE! After riding less than a mile into the Dragon I'm already sitting on the side of the
the road feeling like I'm in K-Mart at the Blue-Light Special... Aparently my Nexel DOT
approved helmet doesn't appear to be DOT approved to them! So I listen to a 30 min
speach from the Trooper on what a DOT approved helment is???? And still I don't know
what a DOT approved helment is? Anyway after the Trooper gets finished he lets me go
without giving me a ticket (because he didn't know if he was right or wrong) I
finished kicking the Dragon's tail. So after that I go through Joyce Kilmer forrest, then
climb on to the Skyway, by this time I'm really wanting to try this new tire out so I get
behind this HD Ultra Classic (no offense Scott) he was really moving, I'm not saying I
can ride better than anyone else but, those who have rode with me before know
how I ride on curves. I love to scrape the floor boards way too much, after awhile
he decided to pull over.

Anyway back to the ride, although my speedometer is off a little (75mph I'm
really doing 70mph) the gear ratio is PUURFECT for my riding style. After leaving
Tellico, I came down Tellico/Reliance rd to Hwy30 then on Hwy411 to the house,
all in all I rode about 250 miles, anyway here's a picture of the new CT:

Gene thats the reason I had 6 of them cut down this winter. Before I had to deal with them with the leaves on.

I did a total of about 375 miles today on our meet ya halfway ride with the guys from Quebec, and Brian and Mike from Ontario. That was just a warmup ride for our trip to the rally.

HaHaHaHa, Got home from church this morning and Debby
informed me I was taking her for a ride, soo where did she
want to go but the Dragon & Skyway, woohoo 2 days in a
row! And THP was still harassing bikers!!!

Well got every thing finnished on the bike got a new windshield for Freedom shields works great just 7" and shoots the air up over your head and you can still see over it so I had to test it and rode about 35 mile .

I did ride but only a ride to the drugstore for the wife. Only 5 miles total. It was supposed to rain today but didn't We will get it tonight for sure.

Rode in to work then to district baseball game near Tampa, then over to our regional softball game in Dade City and back home. All told, about 150 miles today.

Went to an appointment and then to work, it was really windy here today, the bike was getting bucked around a bit. I think the ride home tonight will be a little calmer.

Got about 110 miles in on a trip to watch district baseball tournament. Beautiful night for a ride but got a few sprinkles on the way home.
