There's not much to do up there. Maybe Show low or Pinetop-Lakeside. That's close enough to the Coronado Trail we could ride it in a day.

May would not be good for Diamond Lake, so Logan Utah, Kanab or Hells Canyon would be better that time of year...right?

Thanks Greg for thinking of me. If it is out west, I have to cross Utah, Idaho and Nevada plus I deal with the mountains. When we had the rally at Cortez, I was being chased by snow across the passes. Daryl was behind me and rode in the snow. When we rode to Kanab, the temperature on the passes was in the 20's and then the ride back was hot but not super miserable.

That is one of the major problems with this region is weather issues.

Cody area is nice but that would definitely be a late June/July ride.

There are a lot of good rides and sights around Logan. We road to Bear Lake, then up to Star Valley today. Beautiful this time of year. Orofino was great. All the suggestions sound good.

Well Joel...with those liberal dope laws in Colorado I figured you would be so stoned you would not notice the weather and would be stopping every 50 miles for munchies anyhow :p

Yep, I remember that. It was a cold, wet ride that day. Good time at the rally though.

I'll be doing this exact ride next month for the beartooth rally. Beartooth pass is definitely a July ride. They don't get the snow plowed out most times until May. After Cody we always go through Jellystone to West Yellowstone and up through the canyon back to Belgrade.

Oh and you can't miss the Grizzly bar in Roscoe ...... great place to dine..

Show Low or Pinetop-Lakeside AZ (only a couple miles apart). In the beautiful White Mountains of eastern AZ. Lots of good places to eat, lots of motels to choose from, and close to the best ride in AZ.
