Sounds like the exact same process I went through. Even tried hyperbaric oxygen therapy

For me, nothing worked.

Bet you also watched your Broncos lose to the mighty Seahawks again!

Broncos played better than in the Super Bowl...not a tough thing to do.

Hope your recovery goes as planned Scott.

Yeah, that was a MUCH better game than the Super Bowl. It was O/T, it could have easily gone the other way. Don't gloat too hard - it seems to me the Chargers beat your team the week before.

The infection is gone, it's just a matter of getting the damn thing closed up now. The doctor has suggested using a synthetic skin graft to get it closed once the wound vac treatment is done. The longer the wound is open, the greater the risk of infection. I don't want another one.
kinda sounds like what I went through in 1985 after my motorcycle accident and my lower left leg was ripped open on the other side of my calf. After getting infected it took a while before fresh muscle got to feel in the opening that I had. Glad to see you are on the mend.

Considering his outcome I can see his point! Take care of yourself... Dave went several years dealing with everything imaginable and had only one choice left. You have more choices. Make them wisely?!!

I wonder how scott did today. I think he had to have surgery on that foot today. Turned out it was broken. I hope he did well.

Yeah the surgery went fine. Took about an hour. Not too sure what was actually done. I do know some bone fragments were removed and he repaired a torn tendon and he debrided the original wound some. I'll be working from home this week as I can't bear weight on it. Just me and my percocets.

Don't try to rush the healing process just let it happen as it will as frustrating as it might get.
