It is NOT that you are being told you have a NICE@SS; but rather that you are an @SS and are also NICE!!

The Viper Red appealed to my wife first and foremost over all the current color choices; however it did for me also.

The secondary purpose for me buying the "red" was that it is highly visible for the "cager's" that might miss seeing a bike.

Again... the main purpose for me buying the Can Am was the intention my wife would ride it. If she likes the color and it can be seen... I am all the more comfortable with the decision.

I hope you can get one for your wife. I truly believe she will love riding it.

My wife too, is not interested in riding a bike by herself. But I do know that when she first started seeing the commercials for the Can Am, she pointed and said "I'd drive one of those!"

I've always liked the looks of them, have looked at them at the dealers and also down at peoples in Maggie Valley for their rally. I really like the tourer model. As I never drink the kool aid and conform to what other people do and ride, I wouldn't have a problem at all owning one of these.

To me, as long as you are out in the open smelling the breeze and your feet 6 inches from the ground (or even like Wilson with feet dangling, trying to touch the foot rests), it's all good!

(jez' kidding, Wilson!)

What????

I lived nearly 56 years being short... nothing you can say would offend me on that front.

Hey look... people can say what they want about any bike or vehicle... and people do; but I am like you... I have never drank the Kool-Aid and never will.

When I ride the Can Am; most anyone will "wave" -- except for for a few who ride HD's. I joked with my wife saying that I can predict who will wave or not and I always choose the HD rider who has "all his gear on" as being the one that will not wave. I have been overwhelmingly correct in my assessment.

I say to h@ll with them. I own an HD and whether I am on my HD or not shouldn't matter. I would just consider the source of any rudeness you may experience in owning a Can Am.

Having said that... the only rudeness you'll experience will be from those "wanna be HD riders". Otherwise what you'll hear and see is more people talking about the Can Am. They'll ask questions, want to sit on it, ask how you like it, and on and on... I promise when you stop at a gas station... the Can Am will get the attention... not the Harley's or other motorcycles. People have seen them enough... there isn't any mystery about them any more... (Just saying... and I like motorcycles.)

As I mentioned... stops at the gas-station will be delayed by ten minutes; as you'll have all kinds of people asking you questions about them.

Motorcycles no longer get the attention of people these days... but a Can Am is still new and appeals to more people because they feel they might be able to ride one -- versus a bike.

I agree with you on all of the above. I think it's great that there are so many options nowadays, for people to get out and experience something beside their cars. Doesn't matter if it's cycles, trikes, Can Am's, scooters, whatever. As long as people get out and ride, that's what it's all about.

I ride most every day to work, no matter what the weather is, and even though it would be easier to jump in the car when it's too hot, cold, raining, whatever, there comes a point in the ride when you break away from all the traffic and just look around at what you are driving by, and appreciate it. I've ridden my whole life, and it always amazes me on how much more you see and experience, how much more alive you feel.

If a person can experience that as I said above, on a bike, trike, spyder, scooter or whatever, it really doesn't matter what you're sitting on, or brand name.
