Thats sounds like a plan Jimmy! But I think I just got lucky. My pal who has a relative in NY said I could have it shipped there and he's going down to visit next week and will bring it back for me.
It looks like I'll be going with the Vredestein Comtrac, which has been my first choice all along.

It's comments like jandijkgraaf made, that make me feel,
"just when I'm getting out, they draagg me back in"
Is this Vredestein Comtrac a T.T. and what size is it? Can/will just any tire place putt or squeeze the tire on your rim???
I'm still thinking about this whole thing.

I personally don't trust a car shop to mess with my bike and two local bike shops refused to mount the ct. Their loss for the business. Two other shops had no problems with doing the job. I'm sure to tell the first two how happy I am with a shop that is willing to accomodate the consumer every time I pass thru.

The Vredestein Comtrac is a van tire, 175/75/16 It will fit best on my rim which is an inch narrower than the 1600 rims, I'll have to grind a wee bit off the swingarm so it has enough clearance.
This tire should also correct most of my speedo error as well.
I know Im missing a good time Jimmy but we'll meet up again before long, and I'll be riding on new rubber again.

I had to put a bike tire on mine yesterday. Caught a pothole and put a nice slice in the sidewall and broke a belt.

I didn't have time to order a new tire, so I called around to the bike shops and got a decent price on a metz ME 880.

In a few weeks I'll get another CT and the Metz will go in the warehouse to await its turn on the front.
