Bud2rat --- Where did you get those chrome strips on your bags? How wide are they and do they make them any wider? I wonder if they would be wide enough to cover the holes left by my rails. Those look classy.

Monkeyman, Those strips are 3M moulding that I purchased from AUTOZONE. They come in sizes ranging from 1/4" to 2". They are in a roll that you can trim to length. I thought that I would try this versus the racks. ie, cost. I really like the look that it gave the bike. Always trying to be creative with my money. Glad you like the look. Thanks. Also, I replaced the silver trim on the saddlebag doors.

Eventually, I'll remove the aluminum strips on the bag doors completely but that's a whole other project. Thanks for the info.

I'll probably try some of those strips on my doors, since a couple are damaged and the oem ones cost a fortune.
They look good on your bike.
