Cam Chain Extenders
crapper yeah I am slowly getting around to a longer extender. I don't know how the length commonly used came to be. If it is based on the canadian replacement or someone else's idea.
It seems as if it could be longer to me. Stevens yeah I know. I am a x foreign car tech. The ring comes off real ez punched and everything ends up far cleaner that way.

Cam Chain Extenders
The stock cam chain pusher is 4mm long and sits flush with the end of the ratchet shaft.
The longer extender is recessed about 3/16th's to go on the shaft and my guess is it gives about 7/16ths of extra travel ? |

I don't think it extends that much. The first 1/2 is that same 4mm and the next half is about that again but a little more. I did one set for Flavor about a year ago and my memory isn't that great.
I still have the oem donut, but think it's more like 6 mm thick making the replacement more like 12 to 13 mm's thick, but I don't recall it well. Time was a issue.
