I just booked 3 days at the EconoLodge in Crescent City, I couldn't resist by two nights and get the 3rd night free! I'm not sure if the wife can get those days off but I will be there for sure. Maybe one of my daughters will want to go if she doesn't go.

The 3rd days ride will take me almost home the long way around, so will jump out at Happy Camp and head back home from there. Yep, I've been on all of those roads, and if you like awesome remote scenery and roads that look like they was built just for motorcycles you won't want to miss any of these rides!

I'm going to be putting pipes on my 1700 Nomad, so maybe I can get to hear a few different ones if I haven't made up my mind by then.

Thanks for the road report. We'll miss you at the Curly Redwood Lodge in the evening when the tequila starts to pour....and especially at the Banquet Thursday evening....but it will be great to meet you and have you there for any part of the rally you can make!

It looks like there is a lot of interest in the rally on the Facebook side of KawaNOW too, so I've asked Don at the CRL for a room update and should hear back from him soon....

Room update,

I just changed from the EcnoLodge to the Curly Redwood Lodge, it wasn't that much more. Anyways I got the last room downstairs, the ones that are left are upstairs and parking is in back. They said it was gravel in back and no covering for the bikes, but that shouldn't be a big issue in Aug, just wanted to let everyone know.

The lady I talked to said that she had a lot of ppl booked so far, she estimated around 40, and only a few rooms left upstairs.

I found your facebook page from this page, so went in the back door there... lol. Thanks for the welcome, and looking forward to meeting and riding with everyone in Aug!

32 rooms total I think...and nobody will have to park in back as we can share the covered parking with two or more bikes to a stall I'm sure...
