It should be a real different bike by riding season. Been looking at some pretty cool running lights from Custom Dynamics.

I would strongly encourage the driveshaft/spline grease.... I had my u-joint come apart just after I bought my 03 Nomad (bought March 20, 2008 w/ 37,000miles). There was not much grease on any of the splines. Have fun with the rest of the mods. .......
OK, back to the purpose of this thread............. Canada/ US ride.

Kris.. I'm voteing for the Pine Creek portion of route (from McCall, ID).... I-84 through
Baker City / LaGrande is boring, long, and windy.

Kris,

An alternative to taking hwy 95 from McCall south to Cambridge, if you want some pretty darned nice roads and scenery, would be to take Hwy 55 south out of McCall to Horseshoe Bend, then west on 52 to Emmett, and from there out to Payette and pick up 95 up to Cambridge and out to Hell's Canyon. It's a bit farther, but if you have the time, that's a nice ride. And the Blue Ribbon Bakery and Cafe in Emmett, at the corner of Main St. and 4th St. is a great place to stop and eat. Just a thought.

So many great rides scheduled for this year and no more than usual vacation time. I sure would like to make this ride Kris but most of my vacation will be used heading straight east (eastern So. Dak.). I'm hoping to take the bike and see some sites along the way.

Not sure when you're heading east but.....Maybe think about going a bit further to the National Duff. I'm trying to talk hammer into going. Not having any luck though. He's got another rally planned. ::) maybe bring that rally along!!!

We've been planning this ride for awhile now. There will probably only be a few of us, with others joining for a leg here and there, but that would be great if you could meet us in Cranbrook for a visit! Are you guys planning to make the Redwoods Rally?
