What if you don't know?
Hello all. I am the proud new owner of a 2006 Nomad 1600. The bike was very well cared for and is in great shape. It has 20,000 miles on it but looks new. My question is, I don't know what the previous owner was using (synthetic vs standard) so, what should I do?
My last bike was a V65 Magna and I always ran synthetic in that but is it true that you shouldn't switch back/forth? Thanks in advance for your thoughts... Brad Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I don't know why you'd switch back and forth but you can go with either at your next oil change.

Thanks for the quick reply. Based on the rest of this thread I'll pick my oil and go with it. Thanks again!
