Oh wow... sorry about that!
I have to get with Trip on these dates he posted on the VBA site. The official dates are Thursday evening June 7th in Savanna, IL and then riding the 8th & 9th, with departures on Sunday the 10th. The 8-9th are in Prarie du Chien, WI. I put a brochure together that you can download that has the details; but the basics are this: Meet-n-greet June 7th 6PM at Poopy's in Savanna, IL. Staying at Super 8 in Savanna. On the 8th... we are all riding together up to Prairie du Chien, WI. Route and stops are planned. Scheduled group-ride on the 9th for those wanting to participate. If not, there are plenty of great roads to ride in that area. We are departing for home on Sunday the 10th. Again, I apologize for your father's confusion. The regional rally threads will always include old news about the previous rally. That is how the Admin and Trip wanted it despite our suggestion otherwise. I am really glad to hear that you and your father might be coming. It will be great to see you both. Let me know if there is any more confusion. We'll look forward to seeing you there! For information for the rally look to the "Melody Marchbank Memorial Ride 2012" thread. That is the regional's rally this year. Here is the link to the information and brochure:http://www.vulcanbagger.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=25531

Well, I am relatively new here, but am very close to committing to this ride and making reservations...just looks like a really good time.
I am trying to talk my son into joining me, but he doesn't want to take too much time off his summer job so he has spending money when head back to school in the fall. My wife won't ride at all, so probably coming alone...unless the kid changes his mind. Will be coming from northern Indiana. Anyone have a close count of attendees?

Jestphens... it would be great to see you and your father at this rally. I realize you are close to either one and that they are, in fact, the same week. Personally, either one would be great to attend. However, we would be more appreciative of your presence at "our" rally!!
Rasta: the motel in Savanna has a basic breakfast "offering" to include donuts, coffee, juice, cereal and such. The motel in Prairie du Chien offered far more to include "biscuits and gravy" -- which sealed-the-deal with our Regional Leader... "Biscuits-N-Gravy"! Their "breakfast" included far more than Savanna's motel. Personally, it was enough for me. Otherwise... for others thinking of attending and wondering about the total attendance number... we are not sure yet. It is too early to know. My guess is we could see anywhere from 10 to 20 members attending with a total of people being as many as 25. Of course, we would like to see as many as possible; but we have always had a great time with the group we have had in the past despite the number attending. To be quite frank; a majority of those that have attended our past rallies and "gatherings" in the past have become good friends. I would expect no less this time around either no matter how many or who attends. We are a "good" group of people trying to have some fun and take our minds off our our normal/daily routine. Come join us if you can... we'll be glad to see each and everyone that does!

OK, myself and a riding buddy are in, rooms are booked!
BTW, I couldn't get rooms at the Super 8 in Prairie Du Chien for the 9th, they said they were booked up due to a wedding and a festival. We will be staying at the Windsor that I think shares the parking lot, but cost $20 a night more. Guess we will see you all at Poopys on the 7th... of course no idea how will figure out who we are meeting up with if the place is busy LOL. Keep an eye out for us, red Vaquero and a dark cherry Roadking

A fair number of us will be riding further west on the 7th to go through the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, IA earlier that day. We will return to the hotel before heading to Poopy's... so we should be able to find each other.

I will be attending the rally in June. Will be arriving in Savanna on Wed. then going on to PDC with the group. I have already made reservations for both places. If any one wants to split a room for either place PM me.
See you in June

Forty-one days and a wake-up and trosco and I will meet up at I-35 and US30 and head east. We want to meet up with the group coming from the east at Anamosa, IA. Do you all have an ETA at Anamosa yet?
I'm really looking forward to the ride and seeing everyone again! Also looking forward to meeting new folks too! BnG

Dave,
New folk here...my wife and I with a buddy of ours, we are leaving Ankeny that morning to meet the guys in Anamosa. We could meet you on 30 near Marshalltown or you could come 20miles further south on 35 and we could ride together to Anamosa.

Hi Rasta! I think you have a great idea. Trosco and I had planned on on meeting at Hwy 30 on the morning of June 7th. He his traveling cross country with a stop to visit family in Des Moines. It would be just as easy to meet you and your crew near Ankeny.
It would be closer for trosco (Ross), and only about an easy 20 more miles for me. Send me a private post with a meeting place and time. I'll send you my phone number so we can stay in touch on the road. I'll check with the crew coming to meet in Anamosa to find out an approximate ETA for them. Thanks..... and am looking forward to meeting you all, and to the extra company on the ride.
