What's so hard? Only a couple of people can figure out how to get sig pics correct! After reading for two hours every single post on how to do it, I gave up and simply posted a link to the sig pic, like I see other people doing.

I don't understand how to get a decent picture down to 9.8kb...? A lot of the pictures I have are 1mb each. How to I change the file size?

I don't think not being able to get a 'sig pic' uploaded is such a huge deal that it should make someone not want to visit the forum anymore. I think that's a little extreme.

Depends on the format you currently have. If it is a BMP then save it as a JPG and see what happens. There are tons of free utilities out there that can compress image formats. I think a simple program like Gimp has resizing options in it. The windows program Paint in Win 7 has a resize function

Tried Clayton's advice...at least I think I did all of the steps correctly...let's see. Guess I missed a step. Will try again. I had hit the insert line twice by mistake. Went back and hit it once and it worked. Thanks Clayton.
btw...Clayton's instructions need to be posted in an obvious spot for all of the gazillions of KawaNOW members that will have the same issue. Also, what is it with the wacky "time stamp" that is inaccurate...maybe I need to go find a time setting to change...humm. Yep, had to set that too. Any other settings we should review? To answer my own question, yes, you need to review all of the settings as it is a new forum.

I got the avatar figured out, and on the sig pic, it will show it in my "preview", and it shows it as the current sig pic, but it doesn't appear in a post. any ideas?
