Kris, it's good to get an extra 10% HP but I'm waiting for the new MPG figures.

Me too! Each bike is different they said. They say it could be a little better, since the bike will be running more efficiently, the same, or a little worse because of the extra power. I will check over the course of the next few tankfuls. I did get it out on the slab today and sure enough, when I rolled on the top-end as if I was passing a truck, she took right off. I can really feel the extra horses. I'm kinda sorry I didn't do the dyno a long time ago, but I'm glad I at least finally did it.

I don't know why that would make any difference. They just put your bike on the dyno rollers and run the engine up through every gear, I was told right to the rev limiter. This allows the bike to run under a load, then your fuel processor is tuned to optimize every last inch of HP given your bikes air, fuel and exhaust setup. Your tire has nothing to do with that.

So Back to the Octane booster question. Is there anything in octane booster that is already in gasoline? And, So how do the refineries add octane when making the three grades of gasoline? Our regular gas here is 85 octane, plus is 87 and premium is 91. There is only alcohol in the bottom two grades. This is one reason that I only run the premium here. They say since our elevation is higher than most that we don't need the extra octane for the anti-knock. Oh, and our 85 octane cost the same as the 87 which is regular in most of the state.

That would be quite the set-up. Smaller rider, faring, Solo . . . He could have you beat on the Dyno, and you would still win.
