By definition it's not necessarily accompanied by rain. Glad I got a laugh out of you though.

The Arizona monsoon was defined as beginning after the third consecutive day of dew points above 55°F. On average this occurred around July 7 with the monsoon continuing for the next two months. Starting in 2008 the National Weather Service has defined the Arizona monsoon as beginning on June 15 and ending on September 30.

3 of us took off yesterday morning from Littleton, CO, rode east to Parker Road then south to Russellville Road then across to highway 105 and back to Littleton - 95 miles, great scenery, nice ride and then a BBQ at my sisters.

A good day!

I rode down to the pharmacy to get my monthly prescriptions and then went and got a haircut. Its about 96 out and it was quite a warm ride. I'm in the garage now with a cold one working on my saddlebags.

Well, took a day off yesterday after an untold number of days in a row working. Head for the mountains and actually road in some rain. Didn't even put the rain gear on as it was nice to ride in.

I ran out to pick up some hardware last night for the deck, only about a 6 mile trip. Today I may install some of it if the rain quits.

Rode 87 local miles this morning. It was great to get out even though it was steamy after 10am.

I only got in a few miles today and that was a trip to Home Depot, and another trip to Lowes.

Rode about 35 in the morning and another 55 or so in the early evening. Need to put a lot more miles on between now and my St Jude Rides Peoria to Memphis Fundraiser ride in Sept.

Most years we get rained on part of the trip. Last year was great! Hope this year is as well.

Did my first joy ride today. Met with some Harley buddies to show off the new Vulcan. They either liked it or pretended to like it, not sure. Took the long way home for some freeway time.
