Is the MPG of our Nomads really all that bad??

The point is ...that's a high torque motor that hauls around a heavier bike and it gets 20mpg more than my Nomad.

Hey Bob, I know what you are saying about the Ultra. The web site I look at for new bikes shows the Ultra at 54 MPG, if you have the SE 110 CI then it is 53 MPG. The artical that was pointed out in another thread from "rider" indicated only 38.4 MPG. So that is now back in line with the Nomad. Most HD riders I know with the 6 speed can get into the 40s really easy. Those with the 5 speeds only get a few more then I average. I believe the Nomads can do a lot better if it had a 6 speed.

Thanx Ron...I sold my Harley and don't plan on gettin another one! I love the Nomad.
