Got an 2005 with 101,000 and still going. No main issues other than putting new front forks on. Hope to get a couple more years.

I've got an 08 with 7400 miles on her that I've had since 2012. My father bought it new in 08 and passed it on to my brother when he passed away. I bought the bike from my brother in 12, who also passed away about a year later. Cancer sucks, and yes I am working on breaking that cycle. Put some new rubber on her this fall and am ready to ride. I don't put many miles a year on her, I treat her more like an old car that I take out from time to time. Great running bike which will be a permanent addition to my garage even when I'm done riding her.

Nomad Riders

I still have and ride a 2008 Nomad with 110,001 Km on Odometer. I purchased it in stock form in 2012 with 63,463 Km. Since then I have added a lot of extras like Harley Large Trunk, Wombus Rear Carrier, Tachometer, Clock and Temperature Gauge, Michelin Alpin car tire 205/60-16, Cam Chain Extenders, replaced Clutch Spring adding Washers, Garmin GPS, Dash Cam, Back Rest, ETC.

I still like Riding it in my easy Cruising Mode -- I also have my 2006 Goldwing with 192,880 Km on Odometer that I purchased New for long distance two up Mode -- Also my 2006 ST1300 Police Model and I left the Solo Seat with 79.546Km on Odometer as my spirited freedom Solo Mode -- Also my 2005 Burgman 650cc Scooter with 23,311Km on Odometer which I bought in case I get to old & weak to manage the larger Motorcycles. I am 75 Years Young and expect to be riding the Big Boys past 100 Years or age.

All 4 of my Motorcycles are insured Full Coverage for $277.56 per month and I run Car Tires on the Rear on all of them. Actually I had Hit a piece of shrapnel on Highway that I hit in Florida on a 75Mpg Road doing 80Mph that cut a Hole the size of a quarter in the center of my Rear Tire causing a instant blow out. We were riding 2 Up loaded on my Goldwing and the motorcycle didn't wiggle stopping safely on side of the Highway with Tire still secure on Rim and tho collapsed with Zero Air was still 1.5-Inch between Pavement and Rim. I fully believe the Dunlop SP5000 Car Tire saved our Life.

Regards,

Northern Dancer

I have owned 3 different Nomads over about 7 years, clocked well over 300k miles, sturgis twice, overall very dependable good looking bikes, some things that could be improved? Stronger clutch spring, that pesky clutch rod oil seal, and the dreaded bevel gear.
