Day time riding; high or low beam?

TC I was thinking the same thing. I know when in my car I spot every motorcycle anywhere close around....cause of course I want to check it out!

I run hi beam w/spots on during the day because my head modulator is tied to the high beams only. Run lo at night w/spots on.

Diamond Star headlight modulator , which I can shut off if I am right behind someone. Also spots adjusted to my low beam pattern.

Day time riding; high or low beam?

...I put a 100/80w bulb in my headlamp and have the diamond star modulator installed. I run high beam daytime. I will switch to low beam if i find myself following vehicles in traffic, but once clear of traffic, its back to high. I want to be seen and that modulating 100w gets it done.

Day - Hi beam and spots on

Night -- Low beam and spots on

Can't be too careful.

BTW: I was riding behind BD like that in daylight and he said it did NOT bother his eyes. He said it looked like a comet and everyone would see it.

Comforting.

I run high beam during the day and I have switched the bulb to the Halogen. It really helped at night - I couldn't see sh-*t before the change

I have never been blinded by any headlight during the day. I can usually tell what bikes are running low/high during the day because the low beams look more yellow. I run high just because I notice the bikes more that are running high. I suppose even a low beam could be blinding if its not aimed properly.

Day time riding; high or low beam?

My Kisan pathBlazer runs on my high beam so thats what I usually run in daylight. If I am behind somebody, I switch to low beam so as not to annoy them. My lightbar was initially wired to be always on, so I kept my headlight low. I have since wired a switch and keep the lightbar off except in low light.

Day...........low/spots

Night........low/spots, except when no cars approaching, then high. My spots go off when the high beam is on.
