The government does need to be smaller starting with eliminating a lot of the representatives. Far too many of those people getting a huge salary. The IRS would be the next step in decreasing the size of government. Any other thoughts on how we could make government smaller?

Now that you ask.

The first and most important is:

Stop growing the Federal Government. There is no way to make it smaller as long as Congress keeps growing it!!!!! And, they (both Ds and Rs) grow it each year.

After that, my next move (if I were king) - go to a flat tax and eliminate the IRS!!
