I think I would have went that route, if I knew this at the time. I am short, I want this thing dropped in inch, not raised any. I wonder if I can cut up the dog bowl for clearance. Whether I can do this and have it look decent is the question.

I may end up removing the dog bowl like you did on the left, if I can find something cool to put there, or if it looks good naked.

It looks good naked, that's what did ( or didn't do)
