Never been to that one in particular but know the area well. Wilmington is a great old town. You are very close to the river and river walk. Lots of bars, restaurants, shops, etc. Usually several ships docked around (not cruise or anything..like coast guard cutters, etc)...the USS North Carolina memorial is just across the Cape Fear River. You can ride down through Carolina Beach to Fort Fisher (old confederate fort) and catch the Southport - Ft. Fisher ferry over to Southport which is an old tiny sea port town at the mouth of the Cape Fear River. Have fun...I wish it was going to be just a little warmer, I would ride down and meet you...my Mom lives on the coast about and hour away (near Southport)

If you have any other questions about the area, let me know or PM me..

I haven't tried it yet... I just got some anchor bolts from work to drill into my garage slab and anchor it. I plan on trying to do that this weekend.... I'll let y'all know what happens....

Jussmat, wouldn't it be easier to attach it to a piece of plywood instead, then you could move it out of the way when you didn't need it?

I haven't opened the box yet but according to others you need to assemble it for the largest size tire.

Normally I would....but I've got the mounting kit it came with and I've got a bunch of cement bolts also....so since it's no big deal to me, I'll mount it on the floor, knowing that it's solid and keep the other hardware for my trailer if need be. I'm sure before it's all said and done, I'll have some kind of quick disconnect feature made.

Is the internet sale price for the wheel chocks on for a while or is there a final day? I may be heading down to Erie Pa over Easter ; Mar 21 weekend , and will try to pick a pair up then if its still on.

I opened the box and found it assembled. It appears the only adjustment would be the 3 holes on the swivel piece and right now it's set in the middle hole.

I just installed mine today. The bottom hole seams like the one to use. It fit perfectly with the bottom hole and the bike was stable without straps. A slight tug back on the handle bars was all that was needed to get the tire out of the Wheel Chock.

I should have taken some pictures. I will try to tomorrow afternoon if I get home from work in time.

Thanks for the heads up, Beezer! I copied the internet ad, took it down to my HF store in Richland, WA and bought the last one they had for $29.99. It was originally on sale for $37.00, but the internet ad made the difference. Thanks again. Just another reason I like this forum.

No problem BnG.

My thought is to attach it to a piece of plywood for in the garage. If I trailer the bike I'll take the whole shabang and set it in the trailer and strap the bike down and it should stay put. Nice and convenient with the best of both worlds.
The piece of plywood under the jack along with another piece under the rear tire would be high enough to slide the jack underneath using IDaho's jack adapter and the bike would already be in an upright position when I go to jack it up instead of doing the balancing act by myself since I don't ask people for help unless I really need it.

Trying to picture you jacking it up and the chock and plywood raising up with the bike. :)

Spirello, I've got the same one you do. I have it bolted onto the floor of my trailer. I've had it since 06 and am real happy with it.
