No more Dyna Beads for me

Watchman, you have to have thick skin on this site sometimes. We can't take things as personal attacks everytime someone dissagrees with us.
As Trip said this site is about sharing info and then making our own decisions on the info presented.
No one is doubting you had a problem with the beads. It is just that othes haven't, so far.
Please keep sharing info if you have a problem.

I still have the Orig front stone on the bike, it's not down to wear bars, not cupped and looks to be good for 24-25,000 before changing. My rear replacement (OEM stone) now has 8,000 on it and right at 50% worn so should go about 15,000 which is what the first one would have done if I had not had the long trip comming up. Am I the only person in our group having this experience?
I replaced the original front "stone"at 21,000+ & the rear at 14,000+ back in January. Neither tire was down to the wear bars & may have had another couple of thousand miles left on them. I questioned, here, what was wrong with Bridgestone tires that lasted so long. I do credit my mileage with weekly air pressure checks & keeping both tires @ 40psi......-Rich

Thanks for the info Jim.

I actually went so far as to order Dynabeads and then got them and decided against putting them in the tire. Still have enough for two wheels/tire....2- 2oz packs.. .. if anyone wants them...just like it came when I order......will just cost you whatever it takes to ship them....unless it just a few buck and then I am not worried about it. first to claim on this thread gets them!

I just don't really have any problems with the traditional weight balance method and find it kind of gimmicky....but hey, people love them so keep on using them if you like...and they do get lots of great reviews.

and take nothing personal on here man......you have met enough to know there are a bunch of TypeA personalities.....

I don't know anybody so far that has used dyna beads who can document a 30% increase in tire mileage and better gas mpg. IMO i dont believe it. They are another way to balance though. maybe if you balance with weights first and then add dyna beads, the beads dont have a spot to seek out and they just roll around much more. I was pondering this last night. They rec balancing with ONLY dyna beads. Anyway its just a theory. :-)
