Headline not bike related, but worth discussing

Let's not forget something folks... The Middle East is where fighting and war originated!! There's been fighting there since Kane & Able and there will ALWAYS be fighting there! Countries just pass thru.. come to their senses..and get out and watch another country take a turn on the hell wagon!!

Wow, this is a tough subject.
I Understand with both sides on this subject. I fill with fury and rage when I head of ANY service person dying or being injured over there. This includes Army, Navy, Air Force and the Marines. I think it would be easy to 'push the button' and get it over with.
But I know two people from that area. They are great people and were never prouder than the day they passed their citizenship to be a US citizen. They tell me horror stories of things that happened to normal people in Iraq and Jordan. They say it was similar to 1937 + Germany; you BETTER walk this way and think the way I tell you .. or else. All the while, people are starving, jobs are scarce, education is only for the few and the list goes on.
Oppression leads to a invitation of radical mindset.
The people I know are saddened by the loss of US life and the stupidity of militants who do not want the country to move into the 21st century.
The people who strapped the bombs on the women are no better than Hitler. Any one who thinks their "God" condones this is a idiot. They deserve and will get a .50 caliber enema from a pissed Marine and I applaud it. As a taxpayer, I will pay extra for all the ammo they need!
But to take em all... not sure that is the right answer.

Again, I seem to have created a hotbed of controversy. I posted this because I wanted everyone to remember why we are there and just how dangerous it is for our troops. Over here, we wouldn't think of doing something that horrific, but we do need to understand the mentality of the enemy. We need to remember that they do not value human life at all, and are willing to commit atrocities to succeed.

As for Oldbiker's comment, I understand where he's coming from. It's not about the innocents. We all know there are many who are glad we are there and glad to get help just as there are those who hate us. We've all wanted something to be done that would end this quick, but only at the expense of those fighting against us and hating us for our human rights views, not the innocent.

I didn't post this to start a debate, only to inform and garner continued support for our military and to provide you with ammunition when confronted with that "get our troops out now, why are we even over there" kind of person.
