how often do you check shock pressure

I checked mine 3 or 4 times in the last yr. They didn't lose any air at each checking interval. I have 15,000 plus miles on my 2007. Got one of those pumps that you screw on and doesn't lose air as it does when you check air pressure in your tires. I run 18 lbs on setting II. Do most riding solo. Weigh 210.
