Lonnie's Driver backrest Review

I have a driver's backrest from Lonnie for my Nomad and just LOVE IT! Man, it sure saves the ol' back and makes those last 20-30 miles before stopping for a fill-up on longer rides a breeze. I also like how easy it is to hide away in the bags and how easy it goes on/off with the bracket hidden by the pillion.

Great design ergonomically and economical to boot!

Kudo's to da man Lonnie!

So, I'll ask you, can you feel the bar in your back when you accelerate? I know there have been numerous times I've really pushed back in the seat and I'd think that needs to be padded???

Furthermore, boasting about our co riders carries no weight without pictures, so here is my lovely bride who just entered her 40's, thus making here eligible for the competition and another Texas Hottie

Mike,
No, you cannot feel the bracket in your back under acceleration, and that includes all degrees of acceleration (mild to full throttle).

There are pix of the backrest on my bike here: http://s259.photobucket.com/albums/hh296/DS06Nomad/

Hope it helps...
Daryl

If we start posting pics of our women, I suggest two rules: 1. They can't really be the babysitter, and 2. They have to be sitting on or standing near our Nomad to prevent some of you from posting babes from the internet.

Thanks Daryl, it's good to have alternatives. Looked like it might be an issue. Good to know it's not.

Should have been more clear, I've never found "hard" acceleration to be an issue like past bikes I've had. so it doesn't really DRIVE my meager 280 lbs too far back, but if I could feel it in my back, that would be bothersome

But jon, my babysitter is really hot! Oops, don't let my wife see that.
