I friend of mine went through this after falling off a bicycle. He's recovered quite well, though his skull is now about 25% medical type "bondo". It's really quite a miracle that they could sculpt half a cranium basically from scratch.

She is slowly waking up. She is responding to her family and the doctor. But she is still pretty out of it. Thanks everyone for the prayers.

She is awake and responding to the doctors, but she is not breathing on her own yet.

Paige had surgery today to put a feeding tube into her stomach and a breathing tube into her throat so that it is not in her mouth anymore. She is still responding to the doctors but cannot breathe or eat on her own. Thanks everyone for your prayers.

Its a shame one so young has to suffer this tragedy,but I'm sure her youth is giving her the strength she needs for continuing recovery. Our continuing prayers for sure. :(

Paige got to go home the other day!!!!!! She is doing great!!!! Sorry i haven't posted on this thread in awhile just didn't want to jinx anything. She still has half of her skull inside of her by her stomach area. She calls it her alien baby. She will go back in for surgery in another month and a half to remove her skull by her stomach and put it back in her head. She will not be returning to work anytime soon. Just wanted to tell all of you thank you very much for all of your prayers!!!!!
