Almost 22K on my '06 Nad now. So far, so good. Even still has the original battery. Previous owner I think rode it gently and I guess I've been lucky so far. But that's what i expect from a Vulcan after 59K trouble free miles on my Classic.

6 years on a battery is pushing your luck.

Brad, did you ever get Dave to reimburse you for your hernias and lost wages?

Oh I would like to hear this story, unless it has something to do with them sharing a room, then never mind.

If you are not... get a battery-tender and hook it up when not riding... It can increase its longevity, unless already about shot.

By the way Dave... you ran "plumber" off. He disappeared!
If he doesn't come back swinging... he is going to fail his initiation!

Already have one and always used it no matter how often I ride except in the summer. Then again I rarely go more than a week or two weather permitting and sometimes weather notwithstanding lol.

I've been riding for 30 plus year have had my nomad since 08. Joined another Vulcan site in 09 as some of you are. It just doesn't seem to be as good as this one as for tech advise and information. I read this one almost every day. I don't reply a lot. What I probably like the most about this site is the owners of the different brands of bikes, then you can see the pros and cons of different ones. Reading Macs post are probably some of my favorites. but TC attitude about noise and and darkside tires are close to my line of thinking ( now that should give you some more ammo to fire at me) |
