Had the same issue on my Vaquero, the tank bib where it curves down toward the front of the tank vibrates against the tank at 2800 rpm, put a small strip of Velcro in between the bib and the tank, never had the rattle again.

It is 80% of the time the tank bib/cover. Mine had to rubber strips on it, but misplaced. I relocated them to the tank with heavy duty double tape, and issue is gone. Thanks to all those who share their problem solving.

Just got a Sage Brush bib so guessing that will get rid of tank bib rattle. I had windshield noise too so bought second rubber gasket and have one on both sides of windshield now.

Noisy tank bib
I had the same problem and it was the tank bib. I put cork washers under the bib bolts and it cured the problem. I don't know for sure if it was the cork or the space they created but it's fixed.
