Mas, as far as I know the fork oil and shocks have never been changed. I went with a Dunlop 404 Front and Mich Com 2 on rear. the vibration is slight but there. No shaking of the bars or floorboards just like your phone starts vibrating in your pocket. I am going to check the tire weights in just a minute.. At work now and its parked outside....

No missing weights that I can see. still have a couple small ones on there. Will fork oil make it vibrate in the leans? Uneven air pressure in the shock maybe??

D404 says it all.

I've had several of those and never they could keep their balance.

Get some Dynabeads and try thaem.

I thought you saying the words, "No Brad. It's my treat, I'll buy lunch." scares the hell out of you?

Well anybody comes here for that, and they better plan to spend the night. Just too much to get clean that fast at the rate I move.

20w fork oil is nice and stiff.

Who else found one tube with nice red oil and the other all murky? I know Vulcan E found his that way.

MT you got any answer for that? I admit i am stumped.

I've not seen that.

I wonder what it was contaminated with?

Let me clarify........... When I fist changed the fork oil (3 years ago) one tube had clean oil, and the other was grungy looking. I bought a gallon of Motul 15w fork oil and changed the oil. The oil was honey colored. The other day when I changed my fork oil for the second time, the oil was very clean in both forks, but was a red color. It looked like new automatic transmission fluid. I used some more of the same bottle to change the oil this time too.

When I replaced the fork seals last summer, I tore my forks right apart, I even disassembled the cartridges and was surprised how much grey guck was sitting in the bottom of the tubes and inside the valving of the cartridges. It took a bit of work to clean out all traces and put it all back together but there was a noticeable difference from before. The grey guck is the fine metal that wears off the fork tubes and bushings over time. If the bushings are wore enough they can be replaced to snug up the tubes again.
