I never received my build date email, even after checking my spam folder. Called Kim today and was told my build date was Dec 20. She said all the emails notifications have been sent. She resent it successfully after we talked. If you still don't have a date, you might want to call them.

Now to find a suitable box...

I got my build date of Jan 15, 13. I guess I'll be boxing up my old seat over the Christmas break and shipping it down to them.

Can't see how that will make a difference at Customs. You're still going to pay tax (HST for you, PST/GST for me) on the value of the work that they do.

(edit: maybe it makes it easier if you are shipping it across the border?)

I'm hauling mine across the border to the U.S. to ship. It's just an hour away for me.

Went to the Canada Post Office tonight and shipped my seats off to Daylong.
$78 bucks including insurance. They will be there in 4 days even though they do not need to be there until Jan 15th. I asked if there was a cheaper price that would take longer to get there. Nope.

Redjays is a good deal.

I shipped my seat from Tennessee. Shipping cost almost $50. Shipping time is 5 days.

Mine arrived at RDL on Monday. I think I'll reach out to Kim tomorrow and see when I can expect it back.

Yes, UPS is often less than USPS for larger parcels.

edit: as long as you're not shipping across an international border, in which case UPS historically hits you with large, unannounced 'brokerage' fees.

I'm already on day seven and hoping that it will get there by day 10 in time for my build date. I've been using the tracking number and it is pretty depressing. Expedited Parcel - U.S.A. via Canada Post.

I spent about $38 with USPS from Georgia. I printed a label and set the package outside for them, didn't have to drive the cage that day.

Just the shipping was $55. (plus tax, ins and fuel charge) I cut down the box to fit as well as I could since box size in this case was more important price wise than the weight. It has been through three sorting stations so far. Each one seems to take a day or two. I'm still hopeful that it will be there on time.

Called Kim to check on my seat today. It's still in production, but at least they're working on it. Shouldn't be too much longer!
