Ultimate V&H Baffle- Sound Bite- UPDATED!

Okay....as per Utah's request, I made another short video. This one I took in front of the house. Talk about ironic...check this out...

I have new neighbors who just moved in last week and have been hearing me come and go on the bike. Just prior to taking this new video, I rolled the bike into the driveway to give it a good wiping down, but it was kind of hidden behind my truck from view of my new neighbor (Leo).

He could see I had the bike out though and came over announcing he wanted to check out my Harley... . When I told him it wasn't a Harley, but a Kawasaki Nomad, he said...and I quote... "No sh*t...I just assumed it was a Harley by the way it sounds"... ! I kid you not...you can't even make this stuff up..... .

Check out my shirt in the video.... ;)! Enjoy...

borto; i did say it sounds different than stock. i have idled mine that low before and obtained close to that sound(NOT EXACTLY) but close to it. the lopping potato=potato can be obtained with V&H and exceeding low idle, I have done it. :-)

Sounds great Kris. It's definitely got the HD lope at low idle.

My Ultimate Baffles are done and installed. One word...WOW!

They sound great!!! I haven't been able to go for a ride because it's been poring rain all day, but just at idle alone they sound great!

BTW I payed $32 for the metal and machined it myself with some help from my cousin.

Good job Net!

First sound clip I've heard.

Your idle sounds about like mine which is 800-850rpm. Correct?

classic1 did a sound clip of my "Ultimates" today as we all were leaving the Southeastern Rally. I'm sure he'll post it when he gets back to Virginia.

I dont think that is a 800-850 rpm idle. When you get a new Nomad it idles way up there and thats a 950 rpm. :-)

I don't have a tachometer...so I can't say for sure what the rpm's are. I do know that when I bought the bike new...the idle was pre-set very high, so I adjusted it down.

When you start the bike it idles fast for about 30 seconds before kicking down to a low idle. I just turned the idle screw up enough so that the bike won't die when it kicks down to low idle, but is still cold. Once it warms up to full operating temps....she purrs like a tiger kitty and sounds just like a big V-Twin should.... !

Rick, that is one bad looking trailer you got there. Got any more pictures and did you make it yourself?

Has anyone tried changing the baffles in Cobra's? That is what I ahve and can't say that they sound all that great. Not loud either. My neighbor has a Vulcan 1500 and he has Shoguns(sp)and they sound great.

Just got them on and started it up and they sound amazing! .

Went for a short ride around the block, this is really aw some.

Those sound clips are good but they don't compare to the real thing.

Just got to fine tune everything now. Dual Cadmann, Tfi, baffles put on today.
