kickstand Question

Funny, Up here in New England where last year we only had like 3 days over 90 degrees, I have sunk into asphalt. Maybe different material? I use a free Kickstand puck I picked up at NH bike week I leave it in place at my girlfriend's house. I also carry one in my pouch on the gas tank chap for when I visit customers. Free giveaway at Tuesday night Bike Night. I sunk into one driveway and the customer wasn't happy. Won't happen again.

kickstand Question

The ground (dirt) is so hard here it doesn't absorb much moisture when it rains, it runs off like it was concrete. I'm going to carry an electrical box cover, just in case I ever have to park on soft ground.

kickstand Question

I made a 5 inch round piece of laminate flooring and smoothed all around, keep it in the bag. I did have my Nomad sink up in a new wally world parking lot that they had paved a few weeks earlier. it was hot that day and I went inside and came out about 1 hr later and noticed she was leaning WAY over. had sunk about 3 inches into the ashalt but I saved her. I now believe in the bases. :-)
