NOOOOOO!!!!!!!! not a woodworking chisel
Oh, be still, my woodworking heart
ok...an old one that is pretty much useless....

I have some very nice new ones I could try if you want...but they are sharper and more likely to damage things. :)

I just used a big screw driver and gouged it up the first time I removed it.
Now I don't have to worry about it any more :)

How do Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig help get the oil cap off?

Washers, Loonies and Toonies are fine for getting the crank cap .... But the final gear cap is in a lot tighter and I have bent washers trying to unscrew it. Same with the money. Try spending a bent out of shape Loonie. Since the final drive cap is removed on average of once a year for the oil change whether it needs it or not , that cap is very snug and requires a little elbow grease to get her spinning. Now it is easy to remove.

But my question remains ... What the heck was Kawasaki thinking when they went with slotted caps?

Probably the same thoughts they had when they put the helmet locks where they are, just to mess with your mind.

No no no ... Helmet locks are an afterthought ... Slotted caps has to be the workings of a demented mind ... the kind of mind that belongs to a person who gets a bonus when a company is going under ... and the government money arrives ... Diabolical I tell you ...

+1, same chrome screw in cap with square head by Cobra for crank, then i took that slooted chromed cap and moved it to the rear diff and replaced that ugly black cap. :-)

Nah, just a big glob of spit is usually adequate to restore a cushion between me and a cage.

LOL I had the dealer do my first oil change, and when I looked at the slot it was marked up and I said that I wasn't going to except that and they bought me a Cobra replacement. I use a washer on the rear.
