Welcome from Canada; Ive had a few Suzuki 750's a 78, 79, 81, & 82. They where all good except the 81, went through 2 motors on that bike. Your Nomad looks good, Youve done a nice job setting it up for the long hauls.

Hey Tom, welcome from the pacific side of Canada.
It sounds like you have all the "tools" on the bike. GPS, run-turn-brake lights, trunk, rack, drink holder, power outlet, etc........I see more chrome in your future. Not that your bike NEEDS more.
Be sure to touch base with us on the west coast on your planned 2011 trip.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the warm welcome. Hope to have the opportunity to meet up at some point

BSA2Nomad - Yep. Getting away from the snow is a good thing. This year, winter seemed really long. I like New England, but winter is definitely starting to get to me. Might consider moving somewhere along the Maine coast at some point. Get a little moderation from the ocean.

Netnorske - Custer doesn't look like it will be in the cards this year, as much as I would like. However, I see there is a get together in NY (Finger Lakes area) the same weekend. Might be a possibility that I can swing that (at least a little of it). Probably won't know for sure until the last minute however.

Waterman / Rickyboy - Will definitely look to connect on our trip out west. And there can never be enough chrome!!!!!!

Ringadingh - The Suzuki GS series were great bikes. Think I spent more rebuilding mine than I orginally spent when I bought it. Labor of love though. Still ride it once in a while just for old times sake.

Racinchef - Lee still races every Friday night. Can't live much more than a mile from the track, so I can walk there. Lee residents can get free season's passes. Nothing like going to sleep to the smell of racing fuel.

Oh - Forget Flightdoc. We'll have to get together for a ride some time this summer. I often do the 125 - 9 - 4 loop for a quick ride after dinner, just to get out for a bit. Maybe a detour up to Johnson's.
