The economy and KawaNOW.....

trjam, thanks for posting that. I thought I was the only one who felt that way.
I didn't get why a member would not still be a member just because he had to sell his Nomad.
Now if he goes and buys another brand of bike I guess I could understand as I have come to realize this is a Nomad specific site.

She has been working at home as a Medical Transcriptionist Supervisor for 15 years.
It has been really great with her working at home while our 2 kids are growing ( now 13 and 15).
She would like to stay in the same field of work....but we will see.
Sorry to hear that man. We'll fire up some prayers that she finds something awesome!

It would seem to me, to be supportive to a member in a time like this, their status would just stay member. i mean the reality is, at some time in the future, they will be in a Nomad again.

So, to be really supportive, it seems we would offer our loyality to them, but since they are a member, let them know we support them fully through this time, and as a member, you will remain one, no matter what. Ok, throw the rocks. But it just seems they get the short end of the stick for the crappy ass economy.
Once a member should always be a member. But maybe we should classify members in different categorie

just my 2 cents

I suggest we let Trip make these decisions as I am sure there are reasons. It appears he has done a rather great job thus far organizing and managing KawaNOW -- wouldn't you all agree? Just my 2-cents.

Wow! I didnt think, nor did I intend it to be a question of how Trip manages KawaNow. This, I feel, is getting a little blown up. All I did was question his choice, respectfully and I dont think he would take issue with it. I think, or feel, he would agree to have open and civil discussions here. Members can give feedback to site admin, that is how a site grows and become stronger. But I think our being here is proof pudding of our support for Trip, or why be here.

The by-laws for member status do say, own a Nomad, so when you start bending rules, where does it end. I just felt this was one area, that could use a little bending.

trjam: didn't mean to get your "dander" up... that's why I said my opinion is only worth 2-cents!! Not worth much!! :)

I agree with trjam on the member status.

This economy is hurting a lot of good people. Refugio, I hope your wife finds a good job soon.

Hi. My 2 cents. I think your gesture was in the right place Trip but seeing as we dont have to produce proof of purchase of any bike to join any forum maybe we should maybe just welcome anyone willing to participate in a meaningful way ?
