Riderless Nomad does a 180-degree flip

What goes around comes around....you are helpful + honest....just your turn to be the recipient.

But you need to get your Nomad to quit picking on those 4 legged vehicles!

That sucks, but you're lucky. I'd get everything fixed with new parts if I were you. That lets them off cheap either way.

I'm glad the damage was minor and that it was the bike only that got hit. You can get the bike fixed. It gives one hope when a young person takes resposibility for their actions these days. If you need anything drop me a line. DJ

A year or so ago my bike got knocked over in the parking lot at work. Nobody reported it, and the insurance company paid $1800 in damages. Windshield, mirror, turn signal, light, engine guard, saddle bag handle, etc. It actually got knocked over on the right side of the bike. It sounds like you got lucky.

Thanks DJ and everyone here..... I talked to the company that owned the truck today. Sounds like they're going to cut a check for the damaged parts. I claimed the front fender rail, bag rail, and clutch lever. Total $518.00

It was amazingly lucky to not have any more damage. I imagine that truck could have close to $800, maybe $1,000 in damage.

Yep, I was lucky the young fella had the integrity to do it right...

These Nomads are big and heavy. 1-ton trucks ought to stay clear :)

Glad the fellow was honest; I would check the bike real close for any tweakage in areas other than the obvious.

Glad the bike wasn't laid up. That would really suck. I think we all should have a backup. Maybe we could get bailed out if that happens.
