Elite III vs D251

I have 6.8k on my current Stock tires. No problems so far, but I'm trying to get a feel for what to buy when it does come replacement time.

JUST put ME 880s on in May..I had GOOD louch with the 880s on My Honda Sabre so will see how the Nomad likes them,SO far so good,,BUT a tad noisy in turns,, Rich

Hi, I replaced the front Bridgestone with an Avon Cobra today. The Bridgestone was really noisy, even in a straight line. I wont be riding on the front Cobra until I get the rear changed to a Cobra on Thursday. I heard you should not ride with a radial on the front and a bias ply on the rear which is what the stock rear Bridgestone is. When both tires are Cobras I will write a review.

Replaced an Elite 3 with a D251 about a month ago as I was in your situation and needed something quick and convenient. I really liked the Elite 3 and it lasted really well. Obviously can't comment on durability yet but seat of the pants says the D251 handles better. Unless it wears extremely poorly I'll stick with it.
