My brother JD is holed up in Channelview. Just got off the phone with him, said it's just starting a light rain and the eye should pass over him. Prayers for TxFshDude and LW too. Will be a long night.

Man, I just checked the map and Texasfisherdude is only20 miles inland from Galviston and LW is only 40 miles in.

Yea...I hope TF got out.... LW should be ok...just high winds and some water, but TF is tooooo damn close if Ike's as big of a bad ass as he's supposed to be!!

I didnt get any pics when I first got home, my camera is in my brothers truck and a lot of clean up has been done. This aint New Orleans we get er done :) its still a mess but not like it was saturday. Galveston and Christle beach got it bad but we in Dickinson we were pretty dang lucky.Still got no power I'm running of a generator.

I know what youre talkin about. I took my generator to my Mom's place in Groveton Wednesday and spent all day Thursday trying to wear out my chain saw clearing trees/limbs that had fallen on her place. Finally finished about 6 and loaded up and came home. Woke up this morning to pains in places I didnt know were places. 1200 mg of Motrin later I can move again.
