Many thanks Iamriding. I have my Wompus and have looked at a few trunks. The paint looks great. How many coats did you put on and gloss?

I chose to have it repaired and painted over the winter by a local bike shop so not too sure.

Here's the route I took with my '06. Worked very well for the years I had it. Ebay is a good place to look.

I just ordered this chopped tour pack off ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-Touri...3D181966662050

They sold it on Amazon for more but it received same decent reviews. Going to cost me as much to wrap it. LOL

You do understand that's a copy of Harley tourpak, not an actual HD product, right? Just want to make sure you know what you're getting.

There is a guy in Saugus Ma that sells these on ebay. Same picture I swear. He sells them for 148.00 without the hardware.

Let me know what it looks like vis-Ã*-vis strength when it arrives. It does not have the mounting brackets for the bottom it seems so assume you just use small bolts and washers to the bottom rack.

Many thanks for the demo Pete. Looks like I can save some more bucks by DIY'ing myself.

I too have a an Orem HD tour pack on a wompus rack. The reason I got on here is there is a guy over on the Voyager Owners Group on FB that took his Voyager trunk off and then was run off the road and totaled his bike and has it and the Brackets for sale. I figured I could at least give you a heads up or maybe if you don't want it some of these 1700 owners on here may jump on it. It came off a 2010 red and gray voyager

Heh Iamriding - I have the WOMPUS rack and picked up a great condition HD King Tour pak. Now need to paint it. The Color Rite is expensive as you say. I have my codes but am struggling with the Dodge paint charts on the web and Chrysler site. Any help on where to look for the match for my blue and silver?

Many thanks - missed this post and have since picked up an HD pak in really good condition.
