OIL PLUG/SCREEN

I've found brown gasket sealer, blue loctite and tiny bits of plastic baggie, plus some chips of aluminum casting flash. (Like rough grains of sand, but aluminum.) I clean the screen every time.

Ive found pretty well the same ingredients, except for the baggie. I found some aluminiun chips even after 45,000 miles. Its worth taking a look at the screen, just to check things.

OIL PLUG/SCREEN

On my 600 mile oil change there was a oring on the outside of the screen that did not belong took it to the dealer service dept he said it was a water tube oring. Gave no reason for it being there. Must of had extra parts

OIL PLUG/SCREEN

DID my FIRST Oil Change on the NOMAD,, Used the screen to drain,,, nearly crapped when I took the bolt out and nothing came out but oil.. thought I broke it ::).. had some flakes on it..paint? small plastic or something.. easy to remove,, BUT the bolt is REAL cheaply made.. anyone replace it? if so with what??? ALSO HOW much oil in US terms is used when drained from screen /and new oil filter installed! My manual shows MM.. guess living close to Canada means I get their version of a manual .. AND should I add to the HIGH mark or inbetween??? THANKs Rich
