Ponch... Got it at Chesters, Awesome experience and Great people.....

glwilson you have Great taste...

Keep your eyes on the Classifieds put back to stock so will have some things to clear out of the garage.

Now to get 500 miles before Laughlin, don't see a problem with that though.
Scott/CJ bought his Limited at Chesters. I saw they had a radioactive green one. It seems to have sat for a while. I like Scott's purple and black limited. It's unique and rare. Are you going to stage 1 the Limited? I've heard that in our little end of hell it's mandatory.

Nope Jim, I bought mine from Chandler. I haven't had any issues with them, but if I was to buy another, it would be from Chester's. Chandler is a RideNow dealer and I would prefer to give my business to a locally owned outfit.

If I had known they were RideNow, I never would have bought from them.

I don't know why I thought Chesters. Are they on the same road? RideNow owns everything and if they don't, Parsons seems to have the rest. RideNow owns Victory BMW/Indian too.

Not even close. Chandler is at Chandler Blvd/56th St. Chester's is on Country Club just north of Southern in Mesa.

It's the same thing with car dealerships. Very few independently-owned ones left.

Scott I totally agree, HATE Ride now, and not a fan of parsons either after the Az Bike Week thing, I am VERY happy with Chesters H-D.
Chandler and Arrowhead are Ride Now, the rest are Independent.
Chandler BMW / Indian is also a Ride Now.
Would Much rather support the local guys.

Ponch, as far as stage 1, I am just waiting for the parts to arrive, after Demoing Harley's at Bike Fest, Harley sent me a certificate for FREE upgrade to Screemin Eagle Pipes, high flow air cleaner and a Tuner, kinda sweetened the deal for me

So far I am Loving it, 100 miles left on break-in, and Laughlin on Thursday, so we will see how it does.

The certificate you are getting sure was a nice sweeter to the deal Geez... I don't know what I paid to upgrade, but it wasn't cheap. That will save you a decent amount.

I don't know Scott's opinion, but for me Stage 1 is a mandatory upgrade; especially with the newer breather they use now on the new 103 design. The bike has just a bit more (noticeable) power to it, and it runs better and a somewhat cooler.

The water-cooled heads make a big difference in the engine heat. If you are not familiar with HD's prior to the water-heads, the heat would/could get pretty intense on a warm/hot day. The water-heads make a difference in cooling it down. I am sure in AZ you are still going to feel heat on the hot days; but surely it will be better than without the water-heads.

I believe you are really going to like your bike. I believe HD's improvements to the touring models starting in 2014 and as far back as 2009 were substantial. Handling and balance were greatly improved over what was already considered a decent bike in those regards. And this is not to mention the many other upgrades they added in 2014.

I have a stage 1 on mine - Arlen Ness Big Sucker air filter, Power Commander V and V&H duals with Rinehart slipons. It runs a bit cooler and sounds a heck of a lot better.

With the heat here, any motorcycle is going to be hotter than hell, but I installed the V&H duals specifically to eliminate the catalytic converter that sat right behind my right calf. It would bake your leg sitting at a light. Even my water cooled Nomad would cook you in the summer here.

I'll tell you what, my RT throws off the least heat of any bike I've owned. The only time I feel engine heat is when it's over 105 and I am wearing sneakers or shoes I feel some heat from the jugs, but If I am wearing my riding boot, I don't feel it. My Nomad could throw off some heat when it got high 90s to over 100 degrees out. Luckily I didn't experience that often.

I've had HD owners tell me the TTS Master Tune is the way to go on HDs. More than just a tuners, I think it can be used for diagnosis too.

It's Victory BMW/Indian of Chandler. I use them for warranty and recall work. I've been to GOAZ, didn't like them. They like to upsell service contracts on new bikes and to me it's a waste of money to change the oil every 3K miles when the intervals are 6k miles. I can do it myself and save $3K.

So was the free stage 1 something they do with the demo rides if you buy a bike?
