Howdy Kawbuc! Welcome from Georgia. I'm sure you're going to love your Nomad.

During the summer heat I usually end up running 91 octane but during the rest of the year it runs fine on 89.

You will never go wrong using the highest grade exclusively as long as you don't mind the extra expense.

Most of all, have fun and enjoy!

Greetings Kawabuc. I'm 2 weeks into my Nomad relationship and enjoy more each day. So far, 89 octane seems fine; no pinging. Good luck with yours.

Welcome !!! I too am from Flori-Duh and our Nomad will run on 87. BUT... with the heat it will ping a lot unless ridden real easy. Mine does run a lot better on 91.

Welcome from Colorado. Mid-grade, 87 octane here, seems to do fine in mine but haven't tried it any really hot weather yet.

Welcome from the flat lands of eastern Colorado. I generally run 85 octane with no problem. When the summer heat hits I run 87 and mix in 85 ocasionally.

HELLO FROM CENTRAL ARKANSAS!!!! Congrats on the new bike, I know you will love it.

We have never ran anything but 93, so I have no real suggestions, other than listen to what your bike tells you. I am sure it will let you know if it doesn't like whatever you put in it, lol.
