Now there is a difference tween cow trails and Kaw trails. Some poor lost soul may come across those tracks, think their near civilization and get their hopes up!

Here in Nebraska we sometimes find ourselves out of pavement and on gravel or dirt roads. I have found that blackwall tires work better off road.LOL. Looking forward to your next adventure Dan.

Looks to me like you were lucky that you did not smack the crank case on a rock. Too much adventure for me.

Outstanding trip report. Bet your 800 pound machine felt like 1,800 by the time you got out. AAA would have needed a helicopter to pull you out of there if you broke down.

Yeah, that's quite a feat on a Nomad. Glad you didn't try the Steve McQueen trick. Remember what happened to him?

I remember doing this same kind of stuff on a '59 Lambretta scooter with all the sheet metal removed, which was a lot of fun and a serious challenge But I was 34 years younger on a much lighter bike.

Looks like an adventure. If you're going that far off road, I would think you would need a set of knobby tires. That would be an interesting look on a Nomad.
