In 2006, I feel head over heels for the Nomad. There was a dealer at the bike show with 4 green and cream color bikes. We talked money but the deal didn't happen and ended up with blue and silver in 2008. I have never seen a green and cream Nomad since then and to my knowledge the 2 colors together were never a Kawa option in the US or Canada, so it is a puzzle, but boy did they look sharp with the cream instead of silver.

Yeah, but yours was a straight up custom bike by then also. I can identify with someone that pays premium for something that's truly unlike any other.

Everyone knows the original green/green was the best looking Nomad. They've really gone downhill with the colors of their bikes and they are not the only ones.

Well I was as a matter of fact, but it was obstructing my vision, so I drank it.

Thanks Ponch, I hadn't forgotten that the national in Custer was where we met. Lot of miles under the tires since then. Good chance that I will get out west this year and if I hit Az we'll have to get together for a beer or three. Or if you Beemer it up to the National I will buy the first round.
BD is a quality guy and (tho he is fibing just a bit) he's just trying to drive up the used Nomad prices in general. His bike was a good one and worth more than sold for which is true for most of the 1600 cc model years. Not down grading the 1500's its just that at around 7-8 years old the depreciation pretty much stops. I see 10 year old Nomads that sell in the $4000 range.
Seems to me that if you can buy a bike in showroom condition with all the upgrades already done and tons of accessories for about $6000-6500 then keep if 5 years and ride it 50,000 miles and sell it for 2,000-3000 less than you paid for it that is a pretty incredible deal.
I am not desparate to sell the Nomad. I like it and ride it alot. If it sells someone will get a heck of a bike as Nomads are a real bargain.
I just plan a trip to the North Shores of Alaska in 2014. By then I want a dual purpose to make the trip with. And I don't really need three bikes. I have a collector in Ghana interested in my Vett. It should go some time in the next 6 months and I will just buy the Alaska bike then. There is room next to the Wing and the Nomad for a third bike so no worries.

Alaska? That does sound interesting. The adventure touring segment is really growing. advrider.com is a good website/forum to go for advice on such things. I would also suggest you watch Long Way Around and Long Way Down, but especially the former. You'll have to tell me more.

It's 06 I have one. If you wanted one bad enough you can hit me up. 14k miles pretty much perfect, bagger duals and power commander. Can be setup solo and has extra lighting on the back.

Well VA Rider, if it's Green/Silver 2006 that you absolutely must have here's one for you:

http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ456723069

Now if the others felt that BD's was overpriced, they'll enjoy this one. Price has been reduced to $8,995 from $10K + that he was asking when I first spotted his ad. A very nice bike with lot's of extras, but with 85,000 km (50,000 miles) on it I'd say it's big money, even by Canadian standards.

Before I bought mine I liked the retro 1930s deco speeder look of the bike and up to that time had only had black bikes.

I test drove a green silver demo Nomad and loved it. Just about the most comfortable ride I had ever been on. Like a lounge chair on wheels.

Then I was in Dahlonega GA and saw a green/green one with a trunk in a parking lot and was sold. Its still my 2nd favorite color scheme followed by the green/silver.

I am a FF so the only color combo for me was red/black.
