Yes it is an ASP Baton. I carry this on long trips in the open because of the Strict Gun Carry Permit Laws in each state. For me it is the lesser of two evils.

I have heard that California is real strict. I have my old biker's leather whip hanging on my bike all the time, and thankfully, no policeman has ever bothered me. I have heard from others that live in California that it is considered a weapon and they can't have them hanging from their bikes.

When we travel long distances on open bikes, Chaz likes to have some form of protection....just in case....
