Sarah Palin is anything but stupid. She is an astute politician as shown by her ability to manipulate the media.

Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman, 2012!!!!!

Between the two, no one stands a chance. I know I wouldn't last more than two minutes between them!!

I never said she was stupid. I said she has made to many stupid comments. Way to much fodder out there for your casual voters to take her seriously. In the age of technology you can bet they will be played over and over and over again were she to run.

I can already see some of the commercials.

She recently made a comment that she did everything she set out to do as Governor of Alaska. Well that is except actually finish her term as governor of Alaska.

The prson I want to run wont run unfortunately and I don't even agree with him on some issues and thats Colin Powell

I lost all if any respect for her because of that! Just like Ross Perot.

Her stated reason was she felt the people of Alaska were not paying her to be governor but instead paying her to fight against ethics investigations and lawsuits. She also felt that since she wasn't going to run for reelection she would be a lame duck governor for the remainder of her term.

It's not personal to me. I just look at the bigger picture. You couldn't or wouldn't finish one term as a state governor and now there is talk of you becoming the leader of the free world?

I know the jokes that were made about her foreign experience when she stated something about being Russias neighbor. Look deeper and find out when she was issued a passport (2005 or 2006) and when she actually traveled outside of North Amercia. The same year or following year was her very first trip. Umm you dont see a problem with someone not only with no foreign experience but hasn't even traveled on personal trips being the President of the United States?

While I do believe in God i certainly don't think it is gods will to build pipe lines. Saw to many people use the line "in shaa' Alla" in the middle east. It means gods will or god willing. usually before or after an attack. While I like and respect religion I don't like people who use it as an excuse. I even more don't like it when its used a sales pitch for a 30 million dollar pipe line. Religion is a fine line to walk. A very fine line and I think she has crossed it several times. It comes close to extremism in my opinion.

Like I said I do not think she is stupid and i do not think she will run. She is making her 15 minutes of fame stretch into several hours and milking it for financial reasons for her family. I certainly don't blame her. It's a smart move.

Like I said before nobody is 100% to the right or to the left. She comes close though (j/k) she is just to far to the right for me to vote for her.

Hey, we have a guy in the white house that didn't have any executive experience at all and never completed his term for any elected office. He also never had profit/loss experience. The sole criteria was a line of bull and the fact he was a novelty. At least the novelty wore off.

Canedriver,

You're beating a dead horse. Just learn to say how smart she is, along with Bachman and people stay happy around here.

Palin / Bachman 2012!! Smartest people ever!!

Actually, Bachmann should be pretty smart. She was a tax attorney before politics.

Intelligence is but one part of the puzzle. I also would confuse intelligence with being informed or even speaking well in front of people. There are a few ways to measure it. Not every president is going to be a Thomas Jefferson or Teddy Roosevelt in terms of IQ. In fact, one of the least intelligent on an IQ level was JFK. He's a freaking saint now.

I find it interesting in what Dems say about Palin; without any reference to Obama.

For everything one can say about Palin; one could easily say about Obama; if not exactly, at least in the opposite framing.

We have a serious problem with media manipulation in this country at this point, and a general public that falls for their BS every time.

I am particularly shocked at how many "Palin-quotes" people use that actually were not stated by her, but rather on SNL. That immediately tells me the person saying these things is an idiot and likely more of the problem than the solution.

While some believe Palin is too far "right"; Obama and the current line-up of Dems are equally too far to the "left" for the long-term health of this country's future.

Palin reminds me of Reagan in some ways, all positive. That said, if there was someone that was Ron Paul on domestic stuff and a Reagan on foreign policy, I'd be real excited to vote for them.
